Great article, just read this on Brownstone. The only issue I have, and it's minor because Swanson's wording is pretty reasonable, is comments like "Only truth and transparency can begin to rebuild trust." And "We need trusted sources and guides". In a perfect world, trust would be appropriate and of course desirable. Our world is far from that. If it weren't for the childlike and entirely baseless trust in our institutions, "experts", and "authorities" the COVID insanity would have been cut off before it ever started. The founders of the USA had it right 250 years ago. We need authorities, we need government, but it's really stupid to ever trust them. The silver lining of the COVID tragedy is a lot more have awakened to the need to always look at official pronouncements with a distrustful eye. Heck, it was obvious long before 2020 that so-called "science", as practiced was no longer science at all, but greed and agenda driven propaganda. It was obvious to me, my wife, my son, and millions of others the entire narrative was BS from the beginning. I was 70, wife 65 in 2021 and we never remotely considered getting the jabs, and were surprised so many were easily fooled.

“…only people 65 and older and those with serious health risks would be approved for the Covid vaccines.”

.

Wait. Isn’t that the policy one would expect from the mind of a eugenicist? They’re basically arguing that the elderly and infirm should be put down. Absolutely incredible. Mankind has apparently evolved from primitive notions of indiscriminate mass culling to a new, more enlightened policy of specific targeting. Oh, Brave New World!

Not only that, but aren't the elderly and immunocompromised the least likely to mount a useful response from a vaccine? Not that it matters in this case since this vaccine, like many others, doesn't do anything useful and is all risk, no reward. They have a problem. Even it it were effective, it would work on those who don't need it, and work poorly if at all on those who might benefit.

As for the referenced Perplexity search:

AI is subject to GIGO, severely so when bad actors such as BigPharma, BigMoney, BigMedia, BigYounameit, pollute the database with ...GARBAGE.

Perplexity indicts itself:

Absolutely brilliant! I will try to inject it in to the consciousness of a few who believed but went the way of the crowd. It can be difficult: two of them have cancer that probably was caused by the shot, proud professionals and intellectuals who ... you get the picture.

Thanks for this excellent summary of the research on covid vaccines and the treatment of various commentators like Tyler Cowen and Scott Alexander. I've never found Cowen to be of interest, but Alexander was once one of my favorite medical commenters. He now seems to be unable to come to grips with the hands that feed him. Or it could be that, like Bernie Sanders and many others, he doesn't have the energy and integrity to fight against the powers that be so he goes along with them.

Excellent argument and summary. I don't care how tired people get of discussing this era - until we've learned our lessons the conversation must continue.

"Or by a select few gatekeepers at “approved” social media outlets, A.I. chatbots, science journals, Internet magazines, and government bureaus?" OH HELL NO. WE WANT THE TRUTH. AND OH BOY DID WE EVER LEARN ALOT ABOUT THEM. THEY'RE SCOURGE.
