Its notable that The NY Times ran an editorial by Bill Gates ( oh God) which made the same point as Friedens, we need to do more and be ready for the next dreadful pandemic. So I would say that the pandemic mongers are hard at work trying to groom the narrative.. for the next pandemic.
We did tons of “preparing” in the decade leading up to SARS2. Not only did the preparation likely create the virus, as soon as SARS2 hit, we threw out the 200-page playbook which recommended against lockdowns.
Frieden’s article is unlikely to be the result of an inability to understand the numbers. It is more likely a calculated initiative to steer public opinion to supporting future CDC programs.
The failures of analysis over the last three years are astonishing. Regardless of whether they are the result of catastrophic incompetence or narrative-control, they must be exposed so we can replace and reform the people and institutions with something much, much better.
